NAREA
is a professional organization of real estate appraisers that was founded in 1966. The organization’s headquarters are located in Palm Springs, California.
The mission of the NAREA is to connect appraisal professionals and to facilitate the exchange of knowledge between peers. The association sets universal standards and guidelines, with which all members are expected to comply. The NAREA aims to further the professional development of all its members by providing networking opportunities and educational resources.
All NAREA members are expected to follow its strict code of ethics. This codes places a high emphasis on professionalism, transparency, confidentiality, and credibility.

Additionally, the NAREA confers
two designations
1. Certified Real Estate Appraiser (CREA)
2. Certified Commercial Real Estate Appraiser (CCRA).
