National Residential Appraisers Institute (NRAI)
The National Residential Appraisers Institute (NRAI) is a membership organization of real estate brokers, appraisers, sales agents, and other industry professionals. Their objective is to advance and support the appraisal profession, in addition to empowering individuals within the real estate industry with educational resources. They expect their members to adhere to a code of professional ethics. Additionally, they offer four designations to appraisers and market analysts.
Designations
The NRAI offers four designations:
1. Certified Data Market Analyst (CDMA)
2. Graduate Senior Appraiser (GSA)
3. Senior Licensed Appraiser (SLA)
4. Senior Certified Appraiser (SCA)
Appraisal Education
The NRAI focuses heavily on providing appraisal education to real estate agents and appraisers. Not only do they train and teach individuals wishing to enter the profession, but they also provide courses for licensed appraisers looking to build on their existing knowledge. NRAI seminars and courses can also benefit real estate agents who are looking to enhance their appraisal and valuation skills.
